Books to ‘Savior’

I’ve been blessed with some good friends who know how much I love to read. Here is a list of some really great books that they recommended to me that I loved.

Hope you enjoy them too…

The Holiness of God. by RC Sproul

Father, Son and Holy Spirt by Bruce Ware

How to Read the Bible for All it’s Worth by Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart

Crazy Love by Francis Chan

The Shelter of God’s Promises by Sheila Walsh

The Explicit Gospel by Matt Chandler (ok, I am a wee bit bias as He is my pastor.)

Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis

A Hunger for God. John Piper

Bloodlines by John. Piper.

To Live is Christ to Die is Gain by Matt Chandler

Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichย (This is an amazing book that I recommend to ALL my married friends!)

Death by Suburb by David E. Goetz

Let the Nations Be Glad by John Piper

And of course the Bible. The one that has helped me tremendously is The ESV study bible by Crossways. It has tons of pictures (don’t laugh) that are very very detailed. The notes in this bible are phenomenal ! So much so that I coughed up the money to pay the $80 for the super large print one for my mom.

  1. Hmmm, r.c. sproul (my old pastor from when I lived in Florida years ago), piper, Gordon fee, and Bruce ware…..well if you aren’t Reformed than my middle name is rumplestiltsken….. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Ha ha…we both guessed right ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’d also venture to guess you and your hubby would enjoy my personal library lol I spent a decade and a half amassing more than 2500 reformed theological books….when I attended sproul’s church he kinda installs within his parishioners a heavy appetite for reading ๐Ÿ˜‰

C'mon I love comments. So leave me some!
